The theater-concert hall was the most complex architectural achievement from a design point of view: the result is one of LAC's highlights and its versatility one of its strengths. The complete wooden cladding provides a cozy and intimate environment despite the nearly 1,000 seats and is designed to return sound in the best possible way: the slightly curved side walls and the undulating ceiling contribute, together with the volume of the room and its inclination, to the quality of the acoustic rendering. But that's not all. The state-of-the-art technical solutions born out of the collaboration between architect Ivano Gianola and Munich-based acoustic engineering firm Müller BBM, which has already designed major auditoriums such as theSidney Opera House and the Parco della Musica in Rome, have made it possible to create an acoustic shell that can be modulated to adapt to different types of performances and a mobile system for the orchestral pit, which can accommodate up to 60/70 musicians or retract up to the level of the stage, extending it to the first row of chairs. This adaptability allows it to accommodate all kinds of performances: from symphony concerts to jazz concerts, opera to operetta, dance to drama.
